2-row smells sour?

I built a recipe at adventures in homebrewing... And my crushed "2-row" smells sour... I've never noticed a sour smell before, and am worried my grain is actually sour malt not 2-row base malt.Does sour malt have a strong sour smell? If I taste the grain, would it be obvious if it was sour?malt?

I tasted a few pinches of the crushed grain... Didnt taste noticeably sour to me. I'm going to go for it... I guess ill find out if my mash ph is super low

Well, I just mashed in and my pH was normal, so it wasn't acid malt... Maybe it's all in my head!
