15 Gallon Drinking Water Cooler For Mash Tun

I have looked all over and I cant find anyone who carries 15 gallon water coolers for a mash tun. only the homebrew stores have them, and they are already put together. I need a bare bones cooler. Any ideas??

Did you try googling by quart or liter instead of gallon? Seems dumb but it works sometimes

70 Qt. Coleman Xtreme coolers are rather common for conversion into mash tuns. I have the 52 Qt. version, and I've been quite happy with it.

There is a 15 gallon round cooler being sold as a corny keg cooler. Looks like a taller 10g Rubbermaid. There's a thread on it but I'm drilling a dry hole trying to find it...

The greatest advantage of rectangular coolers over round is that it is much easier to stir the mash with a rectangular cooler. The tall and narrow round coolers are difficult to stir.

They do hold temperature a bit better, if that is what you mean by efficiency.

no.. I mean a taller narrow grainbed gets better and more consistent penetration when sparging and similiar to how a taller narrow boil kettle is more efficient for boiling.
