Several brew buddies I know have told me that when they use their Dark Star burner version 1.0 on the lower heat output that they get a lot of soot produced on the bottom of their kettles. I have heard of this happening with cheaper burners from turkey fryers but not Dark Star burners.

Anyone have this issue using the version 1.0 of the DS burners and if yes, did you find a solution?
