Can someone give me a heads up on how much "waste" I will have at the bottom of my primary when I transfer? How do I know when to stop to minimze sediment in the secondary?

I will be transfering my 1st batch in the next few days and I appreciate any and all advice/help. My primary is a 6.5 gallon Ale pail.

I am aware of the hydrimeter readings, so no need to post any info on that topic.

Thanks brew junkies!!!! Wish me luck.

Leave as much as you can.

When I rack, and reach near the bottom, I tip the fermenter to get more out and when I see any sediment being sucked in , I stop racking.
