and tacos

I think Econ was the first great derail. Tacos is just the most recent delicious one. But I digress.

Yesterday I interviewed a possible new roommate/tenant. The guys girlfriend saw me reorganizing my garage and all my brewing equipment and asked me "Ah, so you make your own beer?" If she were single...

I know the feeling. A couple months ago, I was ridin' through Giant Eagle, getting spring water for my latest brewing endeavor, & this young blonde hottie walks up & sees my Morebeer! cap. " Oh, you make your own beer"? "Yeah, I've been doing it some 4 years now. It's pretty easy to make good beer at home when you learn how. It's not hard" yada yada. She had that big glamour smile on her face from the first word. Ponytail through the adjuster loop on the back of her cap. Excited conversation from her the whole time. Dang, where were you 20 years ago?! She just thought home brewing was the coolest thing ever. She seemed to like craft beer already...:ban:

Man, **** you guys and your tacos.

I'm hungry for tacos, and I laid out chicken for dinner. And no, I'm not going to put any martha flarking chicken in a hard shell. I'm no heathen.

Back O/T... you guys ever had Guinness? I heard it's made from the second runnings of the tar sands from hydraulic fracking operations.

tomorrow will be Taco Tuesday in our house

except the BigHair will be rolling up the tortillas, putting salsa verde, pepper-jack and white cheddar on them and call them "enchiladas"

but we'll know better

Nothing says Mexico like a tall boy of PBR.

best Mexican restaurant around here serves SNPA

and their fajitas are gargantuan. most places serve barely enough meat for the 3 tortillas they give you. this place you have to jam the meat into 4 tortillas, there's barely enough room for cheese and you'll still have meat leftover.

It's very low on IBUs or at least perceived bitterness.

Ahh ok. I just like the way it tastes. I'm not entirely sure what the beer or the bitterness has to do with the weather when I drink it- that's why I found it funny. I'm not all too cultured I guess.

I do know that if you use hop extract to make taco salad beer that you might as well but them frozen from a gas station. Cuz that **** ain't craft.

Today I was pouring Homebrew at a beerfest and on one of my many breaks I cruised over to the Redhook booth. I asked the server "what is Game Changer?" And he replied "it's an ale." The question must have shown on my face because he clarified "you know, not an IPA. Just a regular ale."

I will admit, his answer beats the one that I received this weekend at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Game Changer is the special of the month on tap. It says so right there on the menu.
I asked my waiter, "What is a Game Changer?"
and his exact words were, "My friend, that is a beer."

My wife just broke down laughing...
I wanted to cry...

At a casino bar in Vegas, I ask the bartender "What kind of beer do you have other than BMC?"
His reply was "Oh, we got everything"
Thought to myself "Uh... no you don't" and stopped him when he got to SNPA.

Oh man, so many tacos. Wrap it in a tortilla, I'll eat it. Meat origin has no bearing, as long as it's cooked right and the sauce is good.
This. I became a fan of the breakfast wrap a long time ago. Leftover meat, couple eggs, cheese, sauce du jour and it magically becomes breakfast.
I'm not particular about the type of bread the meat is wrapped in

soft or hard shell corn or flour tortilla, pita, wonder bread, crescent roll, biscuit or bagel

it's all yum
I just made up 2 lbs of (now) seasoned ground pork. This is a serious contender for leftovers tomorrow.

I kind of wonder if the author of a webcomic I follow (Questionable Content) is a member here...

This shirt popped up in his online store today:
