Ok I'm just curious on what you guys think...but I just bought a Nut Brown Ale kit for my first brew. The estimated final gravity on this is 1.012, and it came with 1 pound of dark brown sugar, so that will, I'm guessing, be a fermentable sugar and boost the alcohol a little? My question is, what do you think the alc/vol would be for this?

not sure, i havent started it yet...i just wanna get an estimation on what it could be...the SG will be around 1.050 and FG 1.012

You get 8 points per pound according to Pro Mash so your SG will be 1058 minus 1012 = 46x .131= 6.02 alcohol by volume. You'll be lucky to get to 1012 but even at 1016 you'll still have 5.44 which makes a nice beverage.

whats a good way to boost the alcohol content a little bit more? i like stronger beers, so if possible i would like a little more alcohol in it.

Use more grain or LME or DME depending on your brewing method. 1 lbs of grain will boost 6 points, 1 of LME 7 and 1 of DME 9.
