Reading BLAM and Pizza Port's Tomme Author talks about adding raisins at the end of the boil (4 oz for 5 gallons) to get a more complex Belgian taste.

Anyone tried this personally? I've never had a beer from Pizza Port and not able to get one anywhere close to me. It's in his Dubbel Overhaead Abbey ale.
 
It's a pretty good recipe I made it in Jan. but I think that the three Philosophers clone is a better recipe. I also made the triple recipe but it is still in my fermenter it's about 6 weeks old so I think I will bottle it tomorrow.
