I've got 11 gallons of ordinary bitter out fermenting right now. Usually by this point (day 5) I'm added gelatin to the primary to settle out for kegging in 2 days but I'm still getting airlock activity and was wondering if larger batches take longer to ferment out. Should I give it a few more days? Yeah, I know, get a hydrometer reading. ;)

Ah nevermind, I took a hydrometer reading and it's at 1.009 so time to put some gelatin in and keg it on saturday.

As you found out batch size does not matter. I've had 25 gallons ferment out completely in less then 48 hours and some batches take up to 2 weeks.
