I brewed up a wheat last night and 16 hrs later I came home for lunch and found the airlock was full of Kraussen. And my black t-shirt that covered the carboy was a whisker damp. So I acted quickly and sanitized a orange cap and fed some 1/2" tubing I had just bought through the larger hole and into some sanitizer and she is chugging away. Does wheat always take off like this, it was a wheat yeast and around 70-72 degrees?

This baby keeps on chugging, I brewed up this wheat brew on tues and pitched the yeast around 8:30 @ night and today is sunday and I still have some airlock activity. I tried a new dry yeast a safale for a wheat beer instead of kit yeast. This is my 3rd batch and I have not had this much action after4-5 days.:tank:
