A few years ago I started brewing partial mashes with decent success. I ended up moving around for 2 years and never had the right setup for brewing. I lived apartment to apartment where there were some heavy fines for ruining carpet and starting fires...
Anyways, after finally settling down for another 2 years I am back to brewing again! Man did I miss the smell of that wort churning to some music. I am back and have never been happier...and Im doing all grain now too. My first all grain batch was a huge success. Hit my temps relatively well and had an efficiency of 76%. I am still learning and found that that a blow off vs airlock is a must. I never had the issue of krausen in my airlock with partial mashes but I am now.
Im happy to be back.
