is it possible to mix different yeast types (ie....california yeast with say london yeast)

not that i am planning on it, but was curious if someone has tried this.
 
Yes it's possible. White Labs even sell a yeast that is a blend of a few of their strains. I've never tried it or used it but you can do it.
