I made the Cream Alre from the Brewers Best kit. It is currently in my secondary right now. When I transfered it from Primary to Secondary I siphoned off a glass. I really enjoyed the taste, but would like to get a "vanilla" taste in it.

Where would I add "Vanilla" to this? When I transfer to bottling bucket? How much? Can I just use vanilla extract?

Cheers!

Get some good quality baker's vanilla (not vanillin) extract and add it now. It will take a while to blend in. Beans are fine, but a good extract is easier to work with.

you could add some vanilla essence at bottling time too. much like some add the chocolate essence at bottling time w/ their stouts/porters/browns.....

OK...I'm gonna go the Vanilla Extract route....now the question....HOW MUCH?

I'm totally lost....What do you think? How much should I add to the 5gal.

Cheers!

that you'll just have to experiment with. just remember, a little goes a long way. keep good notes, and adjust on the next batch.
