Have a few party's next month with a bmc loving crowd. I have a pretty full pipeline of real beer, but I have some left over to make a light beer for a hot day.

What I'm thinking
4lb extra light dme
1lb corn sugar (to get abv to a respectable level)
.5oz Cascade fwh
.5oz Cascade flame out
Some coriander and Orange zest 5min (fresh from oranges in the house)
Maybe some grains of paradise

Simlar to sterling gold but different hops I guess

I am little wary of the corn sugar. It just seems odd to me that 20% your fermentables add no flavor. This would come out pretty dry.

If it were me, I would just bump up the DME to 5-6 lbs, then maybe add .5-1.0 lb corn sugar if you still need more ABV.

Just my $0.02. :mug:

Kinda agree but also this is more a beer for the bmc crowd anyway or for me to drink cold on a hot day.

I'm placing a order in a few weeks for my next round of brewing. Maybe I'll just hold off till then.
