    I would apperciate some thoughts on a potentially terrible beer.

    Did you put your spices & all in with the boil?? I had a "something" a while back with some watermelon that turned rank. It was suggested to me that I ought to have pasteurized the watermelon. The boil will kill any nasties. Good Luck!!! Sarah.

    I put bacon in primary for a Bacon/Maple stout that was/is AWESOME!!! With all the maple it ended up being 10%+. Sarah.

    I have heard that no, they aren't so good. The glass is weaker on the threads and can't hold the cap. Also, IME Stella bottles don't cap so easy either. Hope it works out, Sarah.

    Maple Stout? Maple Wheat?

    I did a maple stout using Grade B maple syrup. I ended up using A LOT. Next time, I'll still add some syrup, but I'd definitely add extract. Sarah.

    Oxyclean is amazing

    Its good at getting the "gunk" out of blow-off tubes. I just let them soak for a bit and it rinses away. Sarah.
