    I haven’t used this yeast before. I am making a lager. My question is when building the starter, do I need to temp control at lager temps, or can I make the starter at 68 degrees? Pros and cons of lager temp on the starter vs ale temps? Thanks

    Does anyone know where I can find information about these presses? Made in McKeesport, pa. Looking for info on models and original color. Just picked one up, and want to restore it before using it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Which whiskey or whisky is your big bottle

    I have been drinking whiskey, scotch and bourbon lately. I usually have about 20 bottles on the shelf, but recently the big bottle has been Tullamore Dew. Meaning that it is my go to for a couple neat or iced. Looking for a change, so which is your big bottle and why?

    I am building my electric brewery soon. What do you have for a counter surface? I was looking at stainless, but I was concerned about all the weight. Also looking at maple bowling ally. Concerned about the moisture on that.

    Low carbonation in solution in keg

    I haven't done an extract batch in a while. Wondering if anyone can tell me how much water a pound of DME will displace. The recipe will have 10 lbs of DME.

    Math help.

    If I brew a beer that typically has an OG of 1.060, but brew it with sap put through a RO machine with an original gravity of 1.060, what kind of alcohol content am I looking at? I have about 20 gallons of mash and sparge water at that gravity. Sent from the kingdom of beer.

    Replace the gas lines?

    I just found a great regulator setup. The gas lines look good from the outside. Is there any way to teat to make sure they are ok? Do they need to be cleaned? Can anything go wrong? I have had my current set up for 3 years and have never done any gas line maintenance, but not sure about these...
