I am building my electric brewery soon. What do you have for a counter surface?
I was looking at stainless, but I was concerned about all the weight. Also looking at maple bowling ally. Concerned about the moisture on that.

I use an untreated piece of floor underlayment but plywood works just as well. Ceramic and porcelain tiles work well too but will also absorb some of the heat energy like stainless... Many use wooden discs as spacers to insulate the kettles from the counter.. Then you can use anything. You don't want to place the kettle directly on any paints or varnish/polyurethane type finishes... The maple would work fine if it wasn't finished or there was a heat insulator under the kettles
