    3 Gallon Partial Mash

So I've searched the forum and can't find the answer to my question. Due to a recent move, I now have a electric stove. I can only get around 2 gallons to boil, so I figured I would move to 3 gallon batches. Beer smith tells me everything will be ok to partial mash in my 5 gallon cooler and do a...

Autumn Seasonal Beer Thunderstruck Pumpkin Ale (AG and Extract versions)

When making the spice tea, do you just add the spice directly to the hot water or do you need to make a tea bag of sorts?

Autumn Seasonal Beer Thunderstruck Pumpkin Ale (AG and Extract versions)

When adding the spice tea, do you pour it into secondary and rack on top of it? Will the racking be enough to mix it well?

    American IPA All Amarillo IPA

I am really interested in doing this recipe for my second batch. I am a hophead and if someone can help me get the most out of this recipe, I would greatly appreciate it. Since this is my second batch, I don't feel too comfortable changing things. Also, I will be doing a 2.5 gal boil. Thanks!

Autumn Seasonal Beer Thunderstruck Pumpkin Ale (AG and Extract versions)

I plan on brewing a 5 gal extract batch for my wedding in Nov. I planned on starting it in early Sep to make sure everything goes well. SWMBO is "requesting" I make a practice batch now so she can see how it tastes. I would like to be able to keep about half this batch if all goes well until...

Just finished bottling my first batch

Just finished bottling my first batch and had about a pint left over to enjoy. Even though it was flat and warm, it was awesome because I made it! :ban:

Can hops stay at room temp?

If you don't have a vacuum sealer and have some left over hops (pellet), should you still put them in the freezer with a bag clip or something similar?

I was planning on bottling this Sat. so I took my first of three FG reading and it came in right on target at 1.012! Took a little swig of the sample and it tasted pretty good. This forum helped me with a...

    Starting first brew this weekend!!

I will be doing a 2.5 gal boil. Yeah I was thinking about just getting the water from the store. Might be the easy thing to do. I am a total hop head and LOVE IPA's. My fiance does not like the smell of one even in the bottle. I guess she has a big surprise for her come Saturday.

    Starting first brew this weekend!!

Hi all! After many years of enjoying quality craft beer, I've finally decided to do what I have thought about doing for a long time...make my own beer. I have been reading through the forums over the past couple of weeks and have had a pretty good starter kit put together for me and I am going...
