    what did i do wrong here?!?

    Ok, making a 10 gal all-grain batch. 10# 2row, 4# malted wheat, 1# flaked oats. @ 7.5 gal my preboil SG is 1.030 !?!. Should I boil now or keep sparging? Was hoping for an OG of 1.038. Sorry, AG noob.

    made my starter too early...

    I made a 2L starter last week - decanted and stepped it up friday. I missed my brew day today and probably wont get to brew until friday. Soo... What can I do with my yeast? It's on a stirplate with an ambient temp of 68*. This is a big barley wine. Any help would be appreciated.
