BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Yeah I figured since I use the same board for a dc pump successfully, but it didn't seem worth posting about. Focus on your next release man I really look forward to it. While we're on the topic what is everyone's favorite way to control the elements in the boil kettle...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

First picture is maybe how I should wire it. Second picture where the SSR is wired to ground is how it is now. The way it's wired now there is constant 24v on V+ and Vin.

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

It's going to be hand drawn but I'll make one. It occurred to me on the drive home that maybe the problem with the mosfets is that I have nothing wired to V-. The negative side of the SSRs are wired to ground and the mosfet V+ is wired to the + side of the SSR signal screw. Maybe I need to wire...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

I know I've seen a discussion on this problem somewhere but I can't find it again. I'm almost done with a 45 gallon 3 phase brucontrol set up and I'm trying to fire 2 3 phase 9000w elements at the same time. If I wire all the SSRs directly to the Mega I can't fire all 4 at the same time without...

    Magic Chef HMCF9W2 9CF 9.5" Collar Keezer

Got this freezer, was surprised by the high temp alarm. Find the black+white wire going into the control board and power them independently, disconnect them from the compressor and use an extension cord to constant power. Use the factory power cord to your external thermostat, cut and cap off...

ULTIMATE post boil PELLET hop filter from Jaybird.

Any update on this? Videos? Stainless would be nice but I just want to make sure it will filter pellet hops + cold break. The tests seemed to use hops and water. When I recirculate through a false bottom with pellet hops everything is great before the cold break. Then it starts compacting and...

    The 2016 NHC - Results/Speculation Thread

Yeah I can't login now, but I did just see the live rewards for cat 10 and they seemed to mesh with what was being posted days ago. Places at least.

When the scores were available yesterday I saw that my APA had scored a 40 and went to mini bos. No place.

Preparing to Order Hach Pocket Pro+ - Seeking Advice Please

I've been using mine ~3 times a month for a year and a half. I store it with a drop of ro water in the cap, if it's longer than a week I will refresh that drop since it usually evaporates. After about 6 months I had a problem calibrating it, it just wouldn't settle. Someone recommended that I...

Package it up, use the ups website to create a label, print that out and tape it to the box. Drop that box off at one of those print/scan/ship type stores. Around here they just scan it and hand me a receipt and everything is fine.

Just FYI @barrooze my apa was 7/8 in the flight got a 44 and a 42 for a 43 average first round. You should come hang out at the next barley coherent meeting, it should be on 5/21 at 6pm @ brew it yourself. My rebrew should be there, it would be cool to compare.

Got my results from Austin on saturday. Apa had a 43, and my coffee saison got a 40. The coffee saison score was very surprising. Apparently they liked how strong the coffee aroma was and wanted more flavor in the beer. The last competition I put that beer in told me it wasn't a good match for...

Stiiiiilll waiting on Austin scores. I'd really like to know how close some of the beers got so I know whether to drink or enter these beers in other local competitions.

I usually write a letter code on the caps, label them, then just scribble on the cap some more with the same black marker. The fresh ink from the marker usually dissolves the old marking and just smears it around. So far no DQ's

If I had known how the bluebonnet brew off was going to go for me I would have made that 22 entries in dark lager as well. For a while I worked at a homebrew shop part time. Maybe 3/4 of the new brewers coming in trying to get started would say they wanted to make something like shiner bock.
