Looking at drilling hole into cheest freezer, where to drill?

I'm looking at moving the tank to the outside for space reasons and easier adjusting. Looking to put a manifold through but don't know where to drill for these things. Does it vary widely across different brands and models or do they mostly follow a similar design? Thank you.

Boiled top-off water turned blueish after cooling down....?

Just left my topoff water to cool for a few hours and came back and saw the water had a blueish tint. Was not sure but poured it out anyway and I could definitely see bluish tints in it. Anyone have this before?

    Different beers giving me heartburn

So I brewed a Cream Ale for my first time a bit ago and have been drinking it lately. While liking the beer, my 2nd glass consistently gives me heartburn. My other homebrew batches along with commercial does not have this same effect. The only other alcoholic beverage that has the same...

Will cleaning wort chiller in SS ruin that batch of SS?

I have the green stuff on the wort chiller that I've heard can be toxic. I've read soaking it in SS will help clean it off. However, will my batch of SS be ruined after? I like to reuse a batch for a month at a time by storing it in a spare corny keg. Thanks for the help!

Should I have left it at room temperature until fermentation started? The fridge is sitting at 10 degree C and its Wyeast Bohemian.

Got an OG that is completly unrealistic....

So I pulled a sample after I put everything in the primary fermenter. I put in the wort at around 35 degree C which was about 2.3ish gallons. I then topped up with cold water from the tap. Shook it up, pulled a sample, and tossed in the yeast starter. Now I was expecting an OG of 1.051 based...

    Appearance of beer when poruing....

Having never done kegged beer before, is kegged beer supposed to or not have those small bubbles that keep rising in the beer? My beer pours with maybe 2 fingers of foam before settling into 1 figure of good head. If I shake the glass, I can see the bubbles in the beer and they quickly rise...

Been looking into stir plate/yeast washing, few questions....

If you do the yeast slurry technique in the sticky, is a starter required? Is a stir plate still used with yeast slurry? Also, for starters, the yeast is able to ferment and expand while still getting spun at the same time? Concerning the mr.malty calculator concerning slurry, when it says say...

How do you calculate loss after primary?

My beer usually goes straight from primary to keg which is why I can't really measure it. I don't want to contiaminate my beer by measuring out 2L pitchers either. My partial-mash brewing process utilizes hop bags, and my beer is strained before going into the primary. So really, I feel the...

How bad is it for krausen to drop into beer and not notice for awhile?

I have to leave for the weekend now, with a beer in the primary since Saturday. If the krausen drops during the weekend, am I in trouble? I usually just rack to secondary once the krausen drops.

Want to get into lager style beers, what type of fridge is used?

So right now, not only am I shopping around for a fridge stuitable for a kegerator, but I want one big enough for my carboy. Now I've seen people take those Sanyo and Danby mini fridges and turn them into kegerators, but would those work out for lagering? Thanks.

Flaky stuff floating in beer upon pouring

The beer is kegged, are these just yeast flakes? However, would it be possible to usually have these flakes if my beer went through 2 fermenters? I do not strain my beer BTW when going into the fermenter.

    Need opinion on this fridge....

So buying a fridge for my keg. Checked out one and its definitely tall enough but only if i can remove the little part that acts as a freezer. From what i saw it had 4 screws attaching it with 1 screw attaching to a wire. Is it possible to remove the freezer part you think?
