Batch sparging. With the mash I was using 1.33. quarts per pound. I'm wondering if I should reduce this to 1.25

HMmmm. I didn't think about the mash temp being too high. I usually make the assumption that I'll lose a lot of heat when a transfer the water and mash in the grain. Maybe I've been thinking too much (this would be news to the missus).

It really depends on what you want to do. If it's punching paper at a range and cost is the major factor them go with a 9mm and a cheaper pistol of which there are a ton. Definately go to a range and rent some to get a feel for what you like. If you want a home defense or concealed/carry...

I've had a smack pack sitting in the basement for about two months. It hasn't been refrigerater or exposed to heat. Question: is the yeast still good or should I order a new smack pack?

If it were me I would eat lots of onions and beans and fart myself silly. I have elevated the farting of some seriously obnoxious gas to an art form. Make the environment unpleasant so the want to leave. Better yet, constantly do some silent drivebys, leave and wait for the reaction...

Maybe he's drinking already? I'd stay away from anything that is a soft wood. Sap and other "tree snot" could be nasty.
