Boil time when only using Flameout/Whirlpool hop additions

What is the consensus on lowering the boil time from 60 minutes to say 30 minutes, if no bittering charges are being used? And yes, it's in terms of a NEIPA style.

Using Triple Sec as sugar for carbing

I saw a recipe for a "margarita" gose. The author used triple sec as his/her priming agent. What are peoples' thoughts? I would think the sugar is consumed to prime and thus leaves no "flavor" Thanks

Thoughts on using these to store harvested yeast...

I can get these relatively inexpensive and they are pharmacy grade. Any thoughts on storing yeast in them from the "simple washing" procedure...santize and dump in from fermenter? They are 12 oz (can get up to 16 oz size) Thanks

Large Pack (1lb) Dry yeast experience

Has anyone ever purchased the 1 lb size of the dried yeast? I have seen it at some stores. Is it stable since it would obviously be opened and closed multiple times (I do have a foodsaver)? It seems economical if I am doing a lot of smaller test batches as well as the normal 5 gallon batches.

    CO2 tank question....

Here is something that I saw online (we all know everything online is true)....but it was apparently presented at an NHC....anyone have thoughts? "Do not place your kegerator in your basement. A catastrophic failure could cause the tank to drain, flooding your basement with CO2. Tom also...

Briess Caramel Rye vs Weyermen CaraRye

Is there a difference? Based on some googling and comparisons, I would think not really....US vs Germany. Anyone have experience otherwise? Got some Briess Caramel Rye from NHC, but my previous recipes all used Weyermen CaraRye.

White labs vials, screw top on or not when harvesting...

So everything I have read on yeast harvesting says to leave whatever vessel's cap on loosely. Once I harvest, can I screw the cap on as normal or do I have leave it loose?

Utilzing Bottling bucket (sealed) to age on oak chips..

What are people's thoughts on this probably unorthodox technique. I have never "oaked" a beer before, so I was looking for some way to be able to sample as it ages and make life easier getting the chips out of the fermenter (bucket as opposed to better bottle). The base beer is a brown...
