Wanted to see how this came out. I was really impressed with Death By Coconut but at $12/4 pack it seems like it's very worthwhile to home brew it! Thx in advance,

    Advice on Los Angeles

I live in Santa Clarita, in LA county but about 30 miles north of downtown LA. I was in Brooklyn NY before I was here and I think you'll be surprised how much outdoor stuff there is to do here. There are tons of places to camp within 2 or 3 hours. Joshua Tree, Big Bear, Ventura. Highly...

    Best SMaSH recipe you've made???

I did a smash with rye, cascade and 34/70. I only used 5lbs of rye for 5 gallons and got a great 2.5% pale ale. People usually guess it's a 6-7% beer. Cascade just on its own really is something amazing. Dry hopped with cascade as well.

What came in the mail for you today?

5 lbs of hops from the Hops Shop in Ohio. Mosaic, EKG, Tettnang, cascade and chinook. Used HBT code on their site and got the cascade and chinook for $6/lb! Also 2 adorable baby 1.4 gallon fermentors from Northern Brewer.

Leftovers Dark Rye Low ABV Recipe advice

James from Basic Brewing was my inspiration for this with his very low ABV rye beers that he said tasted like a 5 or 6% beer even though they were 3% or less. Thanks again for any advice -steve
