Awesome I'll look into those. I want to learn everything I can and be the best possible brewer I can be. And that means science and all. Thanks for the help!
After home brewing for several years I just got hired for a brewing position at a local brewery. I was wondering if any pros on here have recommendations on good books and material to read to help me In my future position?
Yeah definitely just an opinion. But I like the point it makes about focusing too much hops and not as much on all the other fantastic qualities of brews.
A friend of mine that's brews for a local brewery went to a tour of white labs and was telling me how ballast point gets there yeast fresh daily from white labs. I thought it was pretty impressive. And sculpin is delicious!
Yeah I definitely wouldn't call myself a Sam Adams fan but some of their stuff isn't all that bad. I think they've just started to develop a stigma with craft fans. But some of their stuff really is bad.
+1 on the noble pils. Their latitude 48 is pretty decent too. And if I'm at a restaurant I usually will order a Boston lager. But that being said there is always better brews out there to buy.
