My kit is like that no airlock n just a lid. but i snapped my lid on tight after pitching and the gas build up seems to hiss out gentley when the pressure builds up. If i press on the lid when its domed out i can hear the release but when i let go it doesnt seem to suck air back in. Wonder if...

Just added a satchet of finings to my mexican cervasa after reading the visual benefits it has on your finished brew....but is there any negatives or flavour imparements as a result of using it??

If it was one of the last to be bottled it might have more sediment in it. Check with one of the pro's though im just a noob :/

....or could i coil my bottling hose up secure it together, put a little bit of sanitizer in it and use that as a home made airlock??

Been busy at work and not had time to buy a airlock. So... Going to try a blow off tube with the end in a jug of weak sanitizer solution.
