Thanks guys. I have all intentions on 3-4 weeks of fermentation....just didnt expect the bubbles to stop after 1 day. This is a 5 gallon batch. I used 2 vials of white labs london ale yeast.
I brewed a batch of Jasper's I eat Danger for Breakfast Stout on Sunday. Pitched two new vials of yeast. I had vigorous bubbling all day Monday but no bubbles on Tuesday or today. I missed the OG a bit and ended up at 1.072
Am I OK? Do I need to add more yeast? Is this typical for this recipe?
I brewed Jaspers extract version of this on Sunday. I pitched 2 vials of yeast and by Monday morning it was bubbling. By Tuesday night it was done. This seems too early to stop bubbling.... Any thoughts? OG Gravity only made it to 1.072
UPDATE:
After 5 days of dry hopping, I was still at a FG of 1.012 at day 25.
Tried it last night and I thought it was very good. Decided to leave the dry hops in for 2 more days. I will plan on bottling this Friday (Day 27 overall).
My OG was 1.071 on 2/8/14
FG was at 1.012 on 2/28/14 when I added the dry hops
Hoping to bottle this Weds, Thurs, or Friday
(I pitched 2 vials of WLP001 originally)
I know how you feel! I am brewing the Pliny the Elder clone IIPA... and as of this morning (day 17), I still heard some burping going on. Hoping to be able to start dry hopping this weekend.
I am currently on day 12 of fermentation. My plan is to dry hop this weekend for 7 days.
Should I dry hop in my primary or move to a secondary and dry hop in there?
When adding several different hops at various times...
Do you leave all of them in for the entire boil and add at different intervals or when you add the next one, do you remove the last one?
I am currently in the process of brewing a Pliny extract clone from MoreBeer.
When I add the different hops at the different intervals...
Do I remove the hops that were added first or do I keep them in for the entire boil...and just keep adding the additional hops?
Thanks!
Scott
I expect when ordering from an online company that if they allow you to put an item in the cart and proceed to checkout that they have the item 'in stock'. Not to get an email 3 days later, stating they are out of stock.
I completely agree about buying local. I just found out that our first...
Similar issue here. Ordered a Belgian White extract from them last weekend. I received an email yesterday that they are out of wheat DME. So much for brewing this Saturday....
