Attach-a-Tap: Portable Homebrew Keg Dispensing System

Great news! Today we became 100% funded. A special THANK YOU to all the HBT crowd who introduced me to Kickstarter and made this turn into something really cool. Still plenty of work to do, but very exciting for sure! Thanks everyone! :mug:

Also, if you anyone on HBT was thinking of doing a Kickstarter in the future, feel free to shoot me a line with any questions.

    Cherry Cider

I used the 3lb can of Vintners Harvest Cherry Puree. The oak cubes were medium toast, Hungarian oak. I used 2 ounces of these, but I think soaking them for so long at first took some of the oak flavor away. I LOVE oakiness in my beer, wine, and whiskey.

Attach-a-Tap: Portable Homebrew Keg Dispensing System

Wooo hooo! We're back. Thank you HBT for starting the Kickstarter/Crowdfunding forum! This one started back in December with a lot of help from a lot of you. Actually, when I first came on here, I didn't even know what Kickstarter was. The Attach-a-Tap project has surely grown since...

    What do you guys think?

I'm guessing wheat wine is a play on barley wine? Let it sit in the secondary for a while, and give her a try. If it's missing something on the nose, you can dry hop then.

    Secondary or Not?

I second the no secondary motion. Wait is that possible? Seriously though, unless you have a really big beer, just let it ferment out in the primary.

1st batch kegged and tastes green

2 weeks in the primary seems pretty short. In the future, if you're not going to use a secondary, I'd keep it in the primary at least 4 weeks (for a low to moderate gravity beer). But that doesn't really help you now. Go ahead and keep it on the CO2 and let it sit. What temp is the beer...

    Cherry Cider

I've seen some folks looking for a cherry cider recipe. This one did me well and is pretty simple... the tricky part is finding a nice apple juice to start with. I used 5 gallons of Martinelli's apple juice (comes in 1 gallon plastic jugs). It was fermented with Nottingham yeast for three...

    Kegging for the first time

Yep, after keg conditioning, you can use your CO2 to push the beer and maintain pressure. When you use the CO2 to purge, it might be worth using it to seal the hatch as well.

immersion vs. plate chiller - I've only ever used immersion

I have a Shirron and only use gravity to transfer beer from the kettle, through the chiller, and into the primary. I submerge it in sanitizer before hooking it up to the kettle and water hoses (inlet and outlet). Then I turn on the water to check for leaks. Then I open my drain valve on the...

    My wicked retahded Chiller

Are you the one who stole my A/C copper?

    Outdoor Burner Storage

It may get a little junky around some of the holes over time if it has to sit unused for a bit... but usually just firing it up and letting it burn for a bit gets it going again.

    Maple Mash Paddle Question

Looks awesome! Nice job to you both.

What should I do with this?

Since it's good for mixing, could you use it to introduce oxygen into your wort before going into the primary? Level sensor could likely be put to good use, too. You could use on your kettle to measure pre-boil volume, post-boil volume, and amount transferred to the primary. Wouldn't be too...
