Said in jest, SWMBO not amused

Why has no one addressed the fact that this guy got his wife pregnant again so fast?! is that even possible to birth another baby 6.5 months after the first?

Help! carboy cap blown off, beer oxidized!

It will be fine. Google "open fermentation" and you'll quickly realize what happened to you isn't a big deal. So much CO2 is produced in the first week that you won't have to worry about it.

What PSI should a new 5 lb tank come with?

Best way to tell how much is left is to weigh the tank, subtract the weight that is stamped on the size of the tank, and divide that difference by 5. That will give you the percentage left in the tank. Ex. (9 lb - 7 lb stamp) / 5lb max = 40% left from full

American IPA Bell's Two Hearted Ale Clone (close as they come)

I've had this kegged for about a week and a half and it's almost gone! Color is spot on to the original but the bitterness isn't quite there. Next time I brew this up, I'm going to step up the bittering hops slightly. Should be perfect with that adjustment!

    cloudy beer

I was finally able to achieve commercially clear beer on my latest batch. I get a good hot break, use a whirlfloc tab, cool quickly to get a good cold break, whirlpool with a large spoon, cold crash in fridge, and use gelatin finings for 2-3 days. Sounds like a lot but once you get your process...

    reverse chiller crazy idea?

I have a setup that's similar to what you're talking about. I have a copper coil that sits in a pot slightly larger than the coil. I run the wort through the coil and into the fermenter. While it is flowing (and I run it pretty slowly for more contact time with the coil), I continually add ice...

Minimum amount in an Ale Pale.

I wouldn't do less than about 4.5 gallons. Too much headspace is bad for multiple reasons, but some people here will fill the headspace with things like marbles (sanitized of course) if they're making a smaller batch. Anything that you can sanitize and add to fill up space should be fine.

How many gallons of homebrew in 2015?

    795.5 + 5 Bells Two Hearted Clone = 800.5

OG off the mark... what do I do?

I know this is your first brew, but for later down the road... If you have some good brewing software, you can take some preboil wort, put it in the fridge, and take a gravity reading at the end of your boil. It should be close to room temperature after that and you can see if you should add...

Going AG - Need help buying kettle

If you're wanting to go all grain anytime soon, I would get the spigot. It's a heck of a lot easier when dealing with a MLT or heating sparge water. If you're just doing extract or full boil BIAB, the spigot doesn't matter much. Other than that, in my opinion the rest is just looks. Want a...

    Danby DAR125SLDD Kegerator Build

It's VERY noticeable and actually pretty loud. I'll try giving Danby a call.

    Danby DAR125SLDD Kegerator Build

I built this kegerator about a month ago and love having my homebrew on tap! Just wondering, has anyone had problems with a relatively loud bump/popping noise coming from the fridge? It's kind of hard to describe but almost sounds like a sheet of metal wobbling or something. It happens every...
