    Still Dragon and ripple elements

I bent my ripple to fit my still dragon 2" Triclover. I only used the ripple on the brewkettel though. Wasn't really concerned with scorching water in the hlt. You shouldn't have to bend them too much.

    Here's something never seen before

Just curious if you changed your base malt? I know that if I use Marris Otter I get very little hot break in comparison to an American 2 row.

    Frozen Belgian ipa

Had an idiot moment earlier in the week that I've just now realized. I did a split 10 gallon ipa a few weeks ago. Five gallons just got two packs of notty and the other five got wyeast 1388. My goal in the deal was to compare the two side by side. Well the notty batch has since been kegged while...

First Brew Day Sat.- What am I missing?

Sounds very ambitious, I've brewed hundreds of batches never done three in a day. I occasionally do doubles but I don't enjoy double brew days. Once you do multiple brews you have to constantly hustle, clean, fill kettles, weigh hops etc. if you intend to be in any way efficient. Furthermore you...

    Leaf Hops

Dry hopping shouldn't be an issue but boil additions can pose a few problems. I learned this the hard way last year when I purchased a mini bale of centennial. The issue is the run off from the boil kettle. I find the only thing that works is a bazooka tube, however I will say that it works...

Bad boil, bad hot break, bad taste

    Another grain storage question

Ive learned not to store even unopened bags in the basement. I do still keep my grain in the basement but it is immediately put into 5 gallon buckets with gasket seals. I also don't hoard nearly as much grain in the summer as I do in the winter. After having to throw out an unopened 50 pound...

    Belgian IPA Recipe Critique

Looks good to me, 545 is my go to Belgian ipa yeast. I typically get quite a bit of peppery/spicy notes from 545 and it attenuates like a champ with minimal effort. I make a monster triple ipa that it takes from 1.085 to 1.007 in a week.

    Custom 6-pack carriers, any interest?

Why stop at six when you can go with eight.

    Beer flights

They're 5 ounces, bought a case, have 8 back up glasses and one extra flight.

    Beer flights

This is how the flights couple to the slot wall.

    Beer flights

Finally got around to building my beer flights and flight rack. Took me a bit figure out a design that I was happy with. I never liked the paddle boards as I felt the sampler glasses needed to be contained rather than sitting on a tray. After searching out various sampler glasses I ended up with...

    Grain mill cost recovery

The other aspect to owning a mill is you can set the gap to your liking. Before my wife bought me my Gunnar malt mill I was getting 60-65 percent efficiency with the labs crush. I'm currently getting 70-75 percent efficiency with my mill set to .03 inches. So I'm saving in two ways. Grain went...
