The PSI are in the thousands... isn't that too high?
If you want something small I've seen DIY using these:

Here is a cheaper version...
Hmm... I've bottled and tapped twice and both times used the Leland CO2. No leaks for me. I even had some gas left over in the end. Maybe I'm just lucky? I have two more ready to "tap", I'll be using the same CO2 carts. It won't be until Thanksgiving though.
Yea.... I like smelling the CO2, smells great. I haven't had a infection yet (knocks on wood), so I don't know what one smells like- if it does like smell anything.
Great idea but it looks likes the valve can damage the piercing needle in the dispenser.
I'm thinking of something like this:

Is there any smell related to a infection? I ask because I bottle in a bucket. I can't help myself from smelling the co2 from the airlock. Smells great! I wouldn't like to know of an infection before I take the lid off.
1) Did you remove the post? If so make sure the poppet is centered before you fully tighten.
2) Do you mean the lid? Try re-seating it, if that doesn't work use some keg lube (or food grade mineral oil).
I wasn't going to pay full price for it! Someone is selling it on CL for $90. I'm thinking it wouldn't be a bad deal and if the feature does work then it would be a great deal.
I found this locally on craigslist:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003BEDG08/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20
The description states that at a lower setting it can hold beverages... at a ideal temperature for consumption.
Does anyone know how truthful the statement is? This would be great...
I am thinking about making this for my next batch. Which would be better:
1/4" @ 50' ($40) or 3/8" @ 20' ($24)
I am thinking of using a spare aquarium pump that would cycle ice water through the tubing.
With what is out there right now you can't go wrong interchanging parts and/or doing a custom build. If there's a gun show near your area you should drop by to see if you can get parts cheap. There are a lot of accessories too! The three major things you need to consider are these: Chrome...
Something weird happened with my bottle. It was rock hard when I put it in the mini fridge. I guess it's too cold or something cause the bottle imploded. Should I open the cap and relieve the pressure?
Malkore stated 27" without disconnects, 28.5" with. Diagrams states 23-24", which will put it around 24.5-25.5" with disconnects. Almost a 3" difference.
If it really is 28.5" I am screwed cause that's the inside height of the fridge that I converted.
Are you sure about the 27"?? The diagrams of corny kegs I've seen have them at around 23-24".
I'm worried cause I just modified my mini fridge and the height is only 28.25".
