    Testing kegs

I gave it a couple shots of 30psi and got the same thing. Haven't tried keg lube yet, but I guess that should help?

    Testing kegs

This is my first time kegging and the kegs I bought are used and tested to hold pressure, but not reconditioned. I filled up my keg with my cleaning solution and put co2 in. After I filled it up I disconnected the gas line and shook it around, turned it upside down, etc. When I put it back down...

    Good deal @ Beverage Factory?

This looks like a pretty good deal on a set of 4 kegs that are used and hold pressure... http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/home_brew/homebrew_keg/4X-KEG-C5-BL-HV.shtml Has anyone ordered kegs from Beverage Factory before? :mug:

    Still have Krauzen in primary...

No airlock activity, that stopped after 5 days in primary. I'll just check it less and get back to work on my kegerator. Thanks!

    Still have Krauzen in primary...

I brewed an AHS extract kit for a Troegs Hopback Amber Ale about 10 days ago and still have a pretty hefty layer of krauzen in my primary. The recipe calls for dry hopping and I was wondering what to do if the krauzen just will not go down. How long should I wait before racking to secondary and...

Spent Grain? Make Your Best Friend Cookies!

My Puggle loves these treats. She was a little hesitant when I first made them, but goes crazy every time I whip the bag out now. Tonight she drug the bag from the kitchen to where I was watching TV because she wanted one... haha. I'll be making a batch every time I brew!

Kegerator conversion... Freezer in the way!

Has anyone made a kegerator out of a mini fridge with a freezer in it? My buddy has a like new fridge he is going to sell me for really cheap, but it has a small freezer in it. I would hate to pass this deal up and I've read a few articles that this is possible, but if it's a huge pain I'd...

    Is it blow off time?

I'm brewing a beer tonight that I'll be using a blow off tube for the first time. My question is how often do you find yourself changing the water/star-san? I might not be around everyday to watch the beer over the holidays, but I just want to make sure it isn't something that needs to be...

    Home Brew Contest coming up

So I entered myself into this home brew contest at a local bar on my College campus. It's in the beginning December (12/7), but I'm trying to find some threads about general guidelines of what a brewmaster will be looking for in the contest. Do most HB contests look for the same thing? Any...
