    I'm trying to make a beer to represent red white and blue... Was thinking a red ale with a whit or wheat yeast and blueberry flavoring... Doesnt sound amazing but i think done properly these flavors can compliment. Any thoughts or advice moving into this? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    So i have 4 oz of makers mark soaking 4 split vanilla beans and 1.5 oz of oak chips to drop into my braggot. Should i just dump all in, wait a week, then taste?     I made my first braggot and the lid of the 7 gallon brew bucket blew off, blew my fermentation chamber open and made a mess. Should i be worried my beer has been contaminated from being open to air for 12 + hours with cats and dogs in the house? Next batch I'll do a blowoff tube for sure...

    So I'm Making my first braggot. Going to be about 10% abv. Doing oak chips soaked in makers mark for 5 days and then have cranberry extract and vanilla beans. Is this overkill? Or will i be able to get the tastes of each if i pull this off properly? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
