    Removing labels from beer bottles.

Oxyclean and hot water is the only way to go.

2010 Bigfoot is on the loose!

10.00 for me. This is my first Bigfoot as well. Fantastic. I am going to go clean out my local store.

    Why Oxiclean?

Cleaning is really to get actual stuff off your equipment. If you cleaned it, it is probably ok to just sanitize it. Just look it up and down and feel it.

    Bottle Count\Batching Timing Question

I just use the bottles that I drink, 12 ounce. Bottles are lots of work but you can keep the beer for such a long time and I love them for that. They are also very portable and it just feels good to have lots of bottles of beer hanging around. I have had batches that have really evolved from...

    Why Oxiclean?

The stuff is just amazing. The first cleaner i used was just plain old bleach. It took forever to not work very well and the smell would not go away. Oxy clean takes no time, smells like fresh laundry, and washes away with no effort. It truly is the home brewers cleaner.

    Chili pepper chocolate stout

Capsaicin, heat agent, is soluble in alcohol so it makes sense to put it in the secondary.

I had been tracking this for a while and just saw it on the news.

What to do with failed brew experiment?

Well done on being adventurous. Too many people just follow what they know or what some one else has discovered.

Best way to get old beer labels off

Use Oxyclean. Some lables will come right off and others will take a little work. Make sure to use hot water. Most glue will still be on there is you only soke for a couple of hours so just rub it off with you hand, very very easy. Then Rinse in hot water.

    SWMBO vs. Homebrew

My GF loves that I brew even though she does not drink any of it. What she does not like is my constant talking about theories of improving my next batch and just general home brewing stuff.

    Test beer flat, not carbonating?

It really takes 3 weeks to carbonate properly. Especially if your temperature is not quite at 65.

What will this mistake taste like?

Yea it will be more bitter and perhaps you will get less of the aroma and hop flavor but it should be good, its not going to be too bitter. If you want more aroma and flavor of the hops to go along with your more bitter beer you should dryhop in the secondary.

Cost vs. Labor - Before I do anything!

Factoring in labor as a cost is silly. If you dont enjoy the process then dont do it.

Cost vs. Labor - Before I do anything!

You get it. That is the way I felt right before I started. I feel it is the only way to go into it. Passion is what makes good beer. If it wasn't, no one would do all grain as it is much easier to drop a bag a malt into your pot.
