Forgot to boil the priming sugar in water before adding to keg. I just dumped it in. Is my beer in trouble? Eagerly awaiting. Thanks.

Im sure its fine. There is probably enough alcohol in the beer to ward off any nasties, What you might not have had happen though is the sugar disolving probably which could lead to some of your bottles being undercarbed and some bottle bombs. I wouldnt worry about it though, I watched a local brewery dump a bunch of unboiled priming sugar into a 30 bbl fermenter not long ago without worry.

You may encounter two issues:

Contamination and your sugar was not broken down into a homogeneous solution. Yeast can still utilize the sugars but may react slower possible become stressed, i.e. off flavors I would not worry too much about this. As far as contamination depending on your ABV, you may have nothing to worry about but contamination is still an issue. Good luck, post your results.

I have done much worse and all was fine

Cheers

Might go bad, but will most likely be fine (I'm calling 10%/90%, but that's just me). Though I definitely recommend shaking to distribute the sugar.

Definitely not something to lose sleep over!

Thanks for the input. It's a Rye Saison. 6.6% ABV. It's for a festival in October. So I could always brew a different beer. I'll let it sit a few weeks and then pull a pint and taste. I will def update thread. Thanks.

Yeah. At that ABV, unless you're using pond water (and maybe even if you were) you should still be fine. Just keep an eye on things and remember "Time will fix almost anything."

I've only managed to ruin a pair of batches once, and that was because I left them sit in the primary for 11 months. They were drinkable if they were cold and you'd already had a few pints, but I opted to dump them anyway. Yours should be fine, if a little flat. I wouldn't concern myself much with contamination in your case.
