I racked and backsweetened a batch of cranberry/lime wine a few nights ago and had my 4 cup measuring cup out with sanitizer. After racking there was ~2 cups of trub, which of course made it into the measuring cup and consumed (this was a 3rd racking).

You know you're a homebrewer when drinking trub out of a measuring cup makes total sense.

When you're trying to post early in the morning, & the spammers are out in full force. We need to block their countries from the internet. Let's see how far they get then with this nickle & diming the world!

When you have 100plus bottles and dont plan on bottling again

When your in laws have to borrow their kettle back so they can brine the thanksgiving turkey, and you have to spend 20 minutes getting all the boil over crud off the outside before they come pick it up.

When making your morning coffee in a plunger you find yourself pouring in the water wondering if you're getting the "mash volume" correct.

When you use an empty 22 oz bottle as a rolling pin while making pie.

I mean, why even bother getting a rolling pin if you don't make pie so often but you always have a 22er!

Or a wine bottle! works just as well. When you're picky about which home brew goes with what part of Thanksgiving dinner.

Hah, when unboxing mine the box tabs said "not for frying turkeys"

When I did extract I used the pot to make turkeys for thanksgiving. A couple weeks ago I was talking to someone about flavor carry over and messing up beers because of the oil. I told him "know what helps with that?....soap and water."

I found out my turkey pot is 8 gallons and 5 gallons doesn't work for a 12.5 gallon turkey. A 15 would be fine but now I know I have an additional pot for strike/sparge/boiling water.

Never seen turkeys measured by the gallon...

Yeah it was a double batch so I had to make sure after loss to oil, 4% loss to chilling and top up volume that my turnkeys filled their destination fermentation chambers perfectly.

You know you're a homebrewer when a room in your house, garage or otherwise, has a row of refrigerators/freezers that are dedicated to fermentation, kegs, and other beer related uses.

In my old place, I had a temp strip in every room of the house to find the best spots for carbing and cool conditioning my beer since it varied by season

When you actually think to yourself, "I have to either brew less beer or get more friends...."
My 2 tap kegerator has 2 full kegs on it and I have 3 others conditioning. Perhaps its time for a keezer and 6 more taps?:)

I just keep on brewing and let the friends come to me...

5 batches ready to go isnt unreasonable though
