A while back I posted that while I was brewing the Google Earth car came by to photo our neighborhood (which is fairly new). My first thought was "You know you're a homebrewer when the Google maps street view of your house shows you in the garage brewing." I figured it would take a while to post, so I didn't check for a while. Today I looked and there I was standing in the garage. So I am now officially immortalized as a homebrewer. You can't see what I'm doing, but only see me standing there in the door way, but I know what I was doing and that is all that matters.

Funny, I googled "Guy in garage doorway brewing beer" and your address didn't pop up. I guess that even though they have Google Earth updated they haven't updated their search engine.

Look out for when they get that specific.

Hello new signature line.... Oh, that might just be possible with some rice yeast balls. They provide a fungus that breaks starches into sugars, and yeast to turn it into alcohol.

I always thinks it's a little sad when people say that. Lots of good beers out there to enjoy. Just because I can make a belgian style pale ale with brett, doesn't mean I'm gonna quit buying Orval!

You know you're a homebrewer when you wondered how you survived before Oxyclean. I can't remember the last time I had to really scrub a baking dish or anything else for that matter.

Too true. I hadn't really appreciated Oxyclean before I started brewing. Heck, I had not even used it before then.

Cheaper: yes. Better: depends.

PBW has chelators(sp?) to function better in a wider range of water chemistry situations. Some make their own mix of a faux-PBW, there are a couple of discussions on it around here somewhere.

I spend as much as I ever have on commercial beer but there is a LOT of good beer out there and I haven't tried most of it yet.

PBW has chelators(sp?) to function better in a wider range of water chemistry situations. Some make their own mix of a faux-PBW, there are a couple of discussions on it around here somewhere.

Just keep a small supply of PBW for when you need it. Problem solved and no mixing needed.
