Yet another Robobrew question

My current set up is all grain with a 10G. brew pot with a propane burner. Cooler with false bottom for mash and a second cooler for sparge water.

I find it difficult, especially with a foot of snow on the ground, to get out and brew.

So I'm looking for something I can brew with indoors
I have no access to 240V as I live in a townhouse so 110V is all I can do.

For those who have Robobrews or Grainfathers Do you feel it's more convenient to brew with one.
Is it a step backwards to go from a all grain set up to a automated BIAB system?

It's just a different system, you can still make excellent beer with it. And it's still all-grain brewing. Your experience with it might be great or it might be frustrating - no different that any other hobby with different tools to accomplish the same task. I had a couple of good experiences with mine but several more frustrating one's so I sold mine. Others here are going on a year or two or more happily.

I have the Gf and am very pleased with it . I have the connect and I use my iPad with it. Very convenient. I'd love to have a nice 3 v system with control panel but I dont have any room so I went this route .

I went from 3V (two pots, cooler, propane) to a Grainfather. I will never go back. BTW, it is not automated. I am as involved in the brewing as I ever was, just with less messing around with multiple vessels and all the cleaning involved. Because it is more convenient I am inspired to brew more and, as a result, my beer has been getting better from the experience and repetition, not anything to do with the equipment.

I’ve also been all around the brewing system world, from 3v, 2v, Biab, robobrew, brewie. Outside, inside, basement.

I like my robobrew and would recommend it. Easy and repeatable. I suggest getting the one with the pump built in. Wort making is just one step, so many other steps to making great beer. The robobrew makes fine wort.

Is there an advantage of one system over the other? I have a 3v propane system and would like to go electric. I’m considering selling my propane system and going with a Robobrew or Grainfather. The other option would convert my current system to electric. I feel that the second option would be able to be done in steps but will cost more money overall. I currently am set up for 10 gallon batches, but that is because I bought my setup used. I don’t feel like I need a 10 gallon system

They all make wort, so it depends on your goals I would say. I have a kid and a wife and a good basement for brewing. I wanted automation and electric so I could spend more time with them. Robobrew and brewie let me do that. If robobrew existed 10 yrs ago I never would have built my own 2v and then 3v system. The pump version with chiller is hard to beat for the money.
