I have third batch in the primary now and we are getting to ready plan our next batch. I am wondering about yeast starters and what is the best way to go about making one. I would like my next batch to have a really good ferment. Any suggestions would help. Thanks:mug:

You've got a great starter in your primary now. You can use the yeast that settles to the bottom of that fermentor to pitch into your next batch of beer. Search the forum for info on yeast cakes, washing/storing etc.

I've really been getting into starters. I think I am going to make my first stir plate this week to really get them going.

I think I had a great starter for my Hefe I did yesterday, I should have had a blow off tube last night because it got really high by midnight after a 5:30PM pitch :D

But all in all, I think they are freaking awesome!

BYO has a great writeup about it this month too!
