I am brewing tomorrow and made a yeast starter today. I used WLP007 and made a 1000ml starter with it using 4oz DME and 2 pints of water. I am only brewing 5 gallons with the OG projected to be at 1.058. (A rye pale ale- all grain)

Would pitching the whole 1000ml be a mistake? If so, how much should I pitch of the 1000ml? And would pitching only part of a starter be an issue?

This is from white labs website. It states to use a 1L starter with an OG above 1.050 with one Pure pitch liquid yeast packet.

If you're not going to crash it and decant the beer you'll need to pitch the full starter volume...

Cheers!

Thank you! I will now be able to have a stress free brew day. I was worried I made to big of a starter.
