Hi guys,
So last week i finally did something I've wanted to do for a while. I pressure canned a bunch of wort for yeast starters. I did about 8lbs of 2 row and was aiming for wort around 1.050. Hit my target and then put them into 1 qt canning jars. Then i pressure canned them without a hitch. Now i would like to make a starter. So here is my question. As you can see the wort separated. Do i need to include the debris at the bottom or just pour off the liquid on top. Im guessing that's all the protein that separate and settled out after the boil in the pressure canner. I plan to add some dap to the starter to give it some good nutrients.
