Yeast Harvesting Question

Howdy all, just got back from Vermont and got 4 Heady Toppers and I would like to harvest the yeast from it. I've read that the best way to do this is to drink 80% of two cans, swirl the bottom portion and use the dregs.

My question is, can I drink 80% of one tonight, put plastic wrap over the can and use it the following weekend for the yeast harvesting? Or so I need to harvest the day I open the beer?

Sanitize an empty bottle, put it in there capped.

So as long as I put the dregs in a sanitized bottle the yeast will last a couple weeks?

When washed and stored in the fridge it lasts for years, so you're fine for a few weeks.

You could also grow it entirely from a single can if you start very small. Think 30-50ml of 1.040ish wort.
