I brewed a nice pale ale with cascade, chinook and dry hopped with columbus.

I used WLP007 for the first time and I do notice a tad bit of diacetyl.

In your experience, does WLP007 create more diacetyl than other yeasts?

Also, I think this beer will get hammered in competition, but I really enjoy the hint of diacetyl and don't think this beer would bit be as good with out it.

Thoughts or am I crazy?

My guess is you're actually picking up the English character of that yeast, which I really like, rather than diacetyl. 007 is a great yeast, of my house strains... just pitched it into a hoppy red ale, in fact ;)
