Made a beer using White Labs' WLP 802 Budejovice Lager. The specs say the yeast should attenuate 75-80%. By my calculations, I got about 72%. Figure i could have aerated better. Also, the yeast was getting pretty close to the best-by date. However, looking at the mini-ferment data on the White Labs site, it shows an attenuation of 71%, which is on-par with my results.

Just kind of curious where the descrepancy comes from, and why they specify one number while their own data suggests something different. Anybody else have experience with this strain? Should I consider my results appropriate for this yeast?
Thanks!

I am by no means an expert but I can only assume it has something to do with your fermentation temperature. What temp did you use and was it consistent or did it vary?
