hello i found this recipe online and im tweaking the fermentables a bit.
the original recipe is 6.6 lbs amber extract lme, 1.5 lbs dark dme, .5lb chocolate malt, .5 lb crystal malt, .25 lb of Black patent malt. For a 5 gallon batch

what im thinking of changing it to besides doing a 2.5 gallon recipe is:
2.5 lbs amber dme
1 lbs 2 row base malt
.25 lb chocolate malt
.25lb dark crystal malt
1/8 lb black patent malt
.25 lb of carapils.

any feedback would be appreciated

Looks right to me. Depending on your target IBUs it should fall right into the Robust Porter category. What hops are you using, mash schedule, ect...

what i was going to do was mash the 2row and the specialty grains in 3 quarts of water at 155. then sparge off into my brewpot. adding the dme at the last 15 mins of the boil. Hopping was going to be 1 oz of williamette hops for 45 min.
