Has anyone else tried their latest? They call it a NW Red Ale, but I found the hop level was so high that any "red" flavors were completely overwhelmed. The label claims that there is some sweetness and a "ghostly" finish. I didn't taste the sweetness at all and the hops left that squeeky teeth feel that I associate with a good IPA.

So, I'd call it a pretty good dark IPA.

I haven't had it, but it is really funny you mention this.

I had a Widmer hefe the other night (I've been drinking wheat beers like they are goin' outta style the past few weeks) and I noticed a much stronger hop bite in it, almost too much for a wheat beer. I even had my wife taste it cause it was nothing like the Widmer hefe I had just days before. I wonder if they got a crop of higher AA or something.
I noticed on the website that they use "alchemy" hops which I've never even heard of.
