Who likes the hops ball?

Why? Seems like much more work than it's worth, but then I don't use a bag either. I'm not even sure what a "hops ball" is.
 
If you are talking about an herb ball that you use for hops then, yes I use one and like it.

I can only put an ounce (of pellets) in the ball though so if you are making an IPA or other hoppy beer they are useless.
 
Are you talking about in the boil kettle? Or dry hopping? (assuming boil)
Unless you have problems with stuck draining/syphoning after, just toss the stuff in and let it freely circulate. But, I can say I have used hops/muslin/cheesecloth bag in the past and like the cleanliness it offers, yes.
 
If your using one in the boil, your going to have out a fair amount of ibu loss. I do like them for dry hopping in a keg though.
