I could wine-and-dine you with an assortment of mediocre Texas wines at the second-best steak restaurant in town. And then I would prop you up in between the handlebars of my Harley and whisk you away to San Marcos, where we can go interrupt whatever TxBrew is doing.

Well, you could come to the desert for a nice winter vacation and we can get excellent Mexican food and really good beers. So, there's that.

Hmmm, I get excellent Mexican food in South Texas, but no local good beers.

That sounds like a great idea- I haven't been to S. AZ in about 33 years!!!!!

I was stationed at Fort Huachuca in, er, 1982(!) so it's been a while.

Thats right, I read here somewhere before you spent time down there.

We've got some really good breweries these days. I just spent my first day as a professional brewer!!

Oh, and I was in jr high in 82. Doh!

Shuddup. You just turned me into a little old lady.

:D

AZ should be on my list of vacation places- great warm weather, and good beer definitely help.

So, let's have it. Give me your best person/reason I should have dinner with another HBT member. Near, or far, it's just for fun to imagine putting us together for a few beers and dinner. I'd love to hear it!

Well I am in Corpus Christi. And I will have a version of your dogfish head clone ready about the time you'll be down here next. I could also use a few pointers. So I'm just saying the offer stands.:mug:

Nothing can compete with the Rockies, scores of outstanding breweries, great food, and a deep beer culture. Not to mention GABF, for what that's worth.

To meet and entertain the Yooper, I am sure I could get a special brewclub meeting together. Or, even better, Homebrew night at Dry Dock brewery.

Welcome, any time.

I'd have some tasty beers with any of you people. I've only met and had beers with one HBTer so far.

I'd treat you to bison steaks, huckleberry pie & an evening at a brewpub or two Yooper! Of course, you'd have to come to western MT for it.
Regards, GF.

I'd have you over for a beer but I'm a Habs fan. Think we could get along together long enough for a couple pints?

Also, Vermont is an hour away, and Vermont has tons of great beer. We won't even waste our time on Heady Topper...!

Oh, let's do that! I don't know when I'll be in Corpus, but we can make it happen. I suppose you're one of those people who 'work' {shudder} so it would have to be a weekend :D. My friends told me there is a new place(?) that has a good tap selection. For some reason, I think it has Railroad in the title? Anyway, I would love to stop by and drink your beer.

I want to stop at Academy sometime anyway to look for a pair of boots, and we don't have one in Rockport.

A few new spots opened in the last few years, Railroad seafood company and brewing, also lazy beach brewing, and I think something about a Rebel Toad.

Pm me when you're in town, we will figure something out.

Hey, if you come out to Baltimore, you can come down to DC and do the touristy thing. We have good beer, and some great cask ale places. Plus, I am here, which is the most important thing. :D

Just as I surmised! I have had dinner or drinks with everybody. There is no one left. (sob).

Not hardly. Had I known you were in BeanTown I'd had thrown out an invite. I'm 70 miles or so north, just south of the Mt. Washington Valley and east side of the Lakes Region. Ossipee Pine Barrens.

Next time around come by in late Aug. or early Sept. and be prepared for a real treat. I raise the best sweet corn and pork for roasting you ever saw. Just fact. I brew up a pretty good Ballantine IPA clone too, probably better than the original. I'm not old enough to remember exactly.

Anyway, don't be such a stranger next time around.

Yet you don't join us for Masstoberfest?

Cincy's been a while. I went in 2008 for the NHC, and that was the last time I was there. We had an HBT booth at Club Night then, and I met quite a lot of people that have grown and changed and don't participate with HBT anymore, although I "see" some of them on Facebook.

If you ever reconsider, count me in! I've only met one HBT-er in person, and that was a chance encounter after we both checked into Untappd at the same brewery at the same time.

What huh? Where am I?

I did have lunch with yooper, a few times. Love the wild rice.

Homer you missed seeing my new rig, got an RV and drug my wife's car behind it with the kayaks strapped on top all the way to the UP!

Would love for you to stop down in the Chicago region sometime on your way through Yooper but I know you tend to go hang out with pappers instead of me when you are in the area...

ONCE! I went to visit Pappers once! It's not like I am in Chicago very often, but if I plan to go again I will definitely call you.

We have had some great times, that's for sure!
