Wow. Never noticed this thread before today. I was wondering, because I figured there HAD to be some kind of "meet the others" thread besides just the Ugly Mugs thread. Anyways. I'll do it now. Fitting, this thread was started just shy of a year ago. Happy anniversary!

So, on with it.

3. Do you have kids? - One cat. She's needy enough.

4. Where do you live? Lincoln, Nebraska, born and raised. Never lived outside this city.

5. What is your occupation? Computer Maintenance Technician on paper, but I'm a lot closer to an Administrative Assistant or a Project Manager, either of those.

6. Do you smoke? - Yes on all charges. I'm quitting cigarettes effective immediately, after having smoked regularly for the past 8 years, most of it 1/2 pack a day Camel Lights or Marlboro Lights.... but for about 1 1/2 years, it was 2 packs a day Marlboro Menthol Full Flavor. I plan to keep smoking recreationally afterwards, may my insurance premiums be damned! Because, honestly, what's 10 hours of college football coverage if you can't even enjoy a Djarum Black or a Nat Sherman or a cigar in the middle of it?

7. What way do you "lean" politically? Pro-marijuana, mostly. I just think it sucks that there are thousands of people incarcerated on charges for a drug that is virtually harmless. Alcohol has and will continue to kill and ruin the lives of FAR more people than marijuana will ever affect. I used to be very involved in traditional (Dem vs Rep) political activism until I realized that one side is full of bull****, the other side, full of lies. So now, I save my energy for issues that actually matter to me. Like getting a universal health care system so that I can quit paying out my dick for medical coverage.

8. Are you religious? Not even a tiny bit. I was raised Roman Catholic, practiced until about 15, then after a fairly big falling-out coupled with a bout with pretty serious clinical depression, my parents finally agreed to quit force-feeding me religion on the condition that I still respect their choice to practice Catholicism. Generally, though, I think that organized religion is exactly what is corrupting and infecting our proud country, and impacting its ability to make decisions.

9. What do you drive? 2000 Mercury Mountaineer V8 AWD. Looking for something smaller, but at the same time I really love that it's basically an F150 with leather seats, a better stereo, and a hatchback. Tows like a champ, but still fits in regular city parking spaces.

10. What would you consider your personality? As an Aspie, I am shy, awkward, but assertive. I hesitate to be social, but once I have a reason TO be social, I can cope with doing so, and wind up having a great time. And making a cock of myself along the way.

11. Do you believe in global warming? Sure. Of course. All those spent hydrocarbons go somewhere, right? I mean, I don't think it's possible to put as many beings on this planet as we have, and still expect things to keep on working perfectly normally and naturally, right?
