x2 BierMuncher! My wife had a transplant 24 years ago from her brother. All situations are different but she ended up needing another which she got from her other brother 8 years ago. No more brothers and here's to neither one of us having to worry about them again.

That's impossible for me to answer, but here goes. I consider myself "liberal". I hate the concept of "democracy"; the USA is a Republic set to protect RIGHTS, not cater to an unethical majority. I'm pro-choice, pro-gun, pro-immigration (make them citizens, not illegal slaves). I think the government is too big in general. I fight very hard for technological issues in politics, such as digital privacy and copyright/patent reform. I have every US Senator and Representitive in my Icedove (e-mail program) addressbook. I've applied for Canadian resident alien status, and hope to get my citizenship and leave the US when I'm able.

"Are we causing it?" is an interesting academic exercise, but not likely to result in any practical solutions anytime soon. How we deal with climate change will play a large role in determining the next couple of hundred years of human existence. Wars will no longer be over land or oil but over water diversion.
