So I ordered a pumpkin ale kit from morebeer.com and I got the whitelabs yeast with it. The problem is that I didn't see on their site that they suggest you ordering expedited shipping with ice packs. Do you think the yeast is still usable after sitting in the truck for 7 days? I ordered two packs of dry yeast to keep on hand in case I need them so I have a backup.

Let me know what you think

it'll be fyeeeeen. Maybe if it was the middle of july, I'd be concerned. Where do you live, and where did it ship from?

i'll make a starter and see what happens, i have some dry yeast packets for backup in case.

mmm pumpkin spice.

I'm sipping a Sam Adams Summer Ale clone from AHS that I brewed back in July. The White labs yeast seemed warm when I got into the box, so I made a starter. Everything was fine and it made a real good clone!!

Good luck!!!!
